Love in Every Box, Hope in Every Meal.
On Monday, November 23, the Mission will once again partner with hundreds of volunteers and community members to distribute more than 1,000 Thanksgiving meal packages, each feeding a family of 4-5, blessing those who may need a little extra this season. Each package includes a full Thanksgiving dinner, a Bible, a handwritten card, and homemade cookies.
Doors open at 8 a.m.
How to Receive a Box of Love:
The Erie City Mission will begin distributing Thanksgiving meal packages on Monday, November 23 at 8 a.m. at our main campus, 1017 French Street, Erie. Distribution will continue until all turkeys are gone.
- Arrive at 1017 French Street and join the line that begins at the courtyard on French Street.
- Bags will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. One per person.
- There is no cost to participate and no identification is required.
- Breakfast sandwiches and hot beverages will be served to guests waiting in line.
How to Donate:
We are seeking groups and individuals who are able to donate the items needed for each meal package.
How to donate:
- Call the Erie City Mission at 814-452-4421 to reserve the number of bags you would like to fill.
- After September 14, stop by the Mission’s Main campus at 1017 French Street to pick up the bags.
- Fill each bag. (The shopping list will be attached to each bag.)
- Drop off bags at the Mission between Monday, November 9 and Friday, November 13. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. If you are unable to drop off during this time, please call 814-452-4421 to schedule a different drop off or a pick-up time.
