G.I.’s & G.E. Golf to Help the Mission!
How do you make a day on the golf course even better?
How about playing to raise money to help your neighbors in need?! That is what workers from General Electric did in late June.
The 2nd Annual G.I. and Company Shutdown Golf Scramble was held June 26th at Erie Golf Club. $480.00 was raised to help the Erie City Mission feed Erie’s needy residents.
The staff at Erie Golf Club provided a great event that starts the first Saturday of General Electric’s annual shutdown.
Scramble organizers say they hope the event continues to grow each year. If you are interested in helping to plan or take part in this event, please call the Erie City Mission at (814) 452-4421 ext. #34.

Thank you to Joe Straub and all of the wonderful folks from GE and elsewhere who have helped *384 of your needy neighbors find a free meal and hope at the Erie City Mission.
